Hey hey wassup, welcome back to another blog by me. So anyways, I noticed that not many people on our discord server seem to be unable to join the 2b2t Minecraft server, so today I shall help explain how you can join the oldest anarchy server in Minecraft, step by step!

But before we get into all that, if you guys have not been reading any of the previous blogs I have made, let me give you a quick introduction to 2b2t.

What is, 2b2t?

2b2t, also called 2builders2tools, has existed since 2010 with one single trait-no rules. There's no moderation, land protection, or getting away from the simple randomness of its player base. Griefing will be experienced, PvP fights, and a chance to get killed in less than a few minutes when entering. For all its chaos, 2b2t's history, large builds, and scope make it a fun server to venture into due to the shear chaos you can experience and cause, making it one of the go to servers for many Minecraft players to try out.

Alright! With the introduction out of the way, lets get to the important part, on how to join 2b2t!

Instructions

Step 1: Set Up a Microsoft Account

You’ll need a Microsoft account to purchase and play Minecraft Java Edition.

• Head to Minecraft.net.
• Click on Account at the top-right corner.
• Click on Sign In
• If you’re new, click Sign up and follow the steps to create an account.

If you already have an account, you can just skip this part

Step 2: Buy Minecraft Java edition

To join 2b2t, you need to have the java edition of Minecraft (bedrock edition Cannot Join 2b2t due to 2b2t being exclusively ran on Java edition only)

To get Minecraft Java Edition, go to the website:

(Don't forget to buy Minecraft using your Microsoft account so that if anything were to happen to your current laptop/pc, you can reinstall Minecraft back on your new pc by just going back to Minecraft.net and logging in by clicking Account on the top right hand side of the website and clicking Sign In, and then typing out your credentials to log into your account. You can redownload Minecraft by going to your Downloads)

which will directly take you to the purchase site for java edition, and proceed to buy the game if you don't have it (you are free to choose which pack you want to get, but I recommend getting the standard edition since its cheaper).

Step 2: Start up the launcher and click play

Once you have successfully downloaded the Minecraft Launcher, it should appear on either your downloaded apps when you click on start, or on your taskbar.

Once you have seen the launcher, click on it to start up Minecraft.

Since 2b2t allows the all releases of Minecraft up until the latest release to be able to join the server, you can just go ahead and click on PLAY to start up Minecraft.

Once you click play, wait for the download to begin for the launcher to start up Minecraft. Once Minecraft starts, the launcher will change icons from a creeper face, into a dirt block icon.

Step 3: To Join 2b2t

Once you have opened up Minecraft Java edition, click on Multiplayer to be able to join servers that are hosted by people to be able to play with and make friends on. (FYI, Singleplayer is where you create your own world where only you can join and not others).

Once you have clicked on multiplayer, the screen should look like this:

Here you can join 2b2t in 2 different ways:

• Option 1: Normally, if you want to join 2b2t easily, you can click on Add Server in order to save the server Ip and Name for easier navigating in the future(if you plan to play again on 2b2t). Once you click on Add Server, the following image should pop up:

Here you can rename the server to whatever you like, but the Ip must remain as the original Ip given below in order for you to join the correct server.

In this instance, 2b2t's Ip is 2b2t.org

Once you have chosen your name for the server and typed/copy pasted the Ip in Server Address, you can click done and the server should pop up in your server list!

(A little note, some servers such as Hypixel or WynnCraft will ask for you to download their resource packs to have better graphics and textures for their server, and if you don't want to download resource packs, just click on server resource packs and set it to Disabled. Or if you want to make it easier for you to not have to click download resource pack every time you join the server, just click on Server resource pack and set it to Enabled.)

• Option 2: if you just wanna try out 2b2t and don't really want to frequently join much, you can click on Direct Connection which you can find below the server list and just type/paste in the Ip 2b2t.org and click on Join Server to automatically join the server!

Step 4: click on the server to start up 2b2t!

Alright! Once you have done all these steps, 2b2t should be looking like this on your server list:

All you have to do now is just click on 2b2t, and click on Join Server! Or you could just double click on the server icon to also allow you join the server. Its really that simple and easy to join 2b2t.
