What is priority queue and how do you get it?
If you guys have ever tried to join 2b2t, you will notice that for most of the time, you would be stuck in a queue system for hours on end, based on either its the peak time of the server, or when 2b2t restarts to stop any lag machines from lowering the tps, or to patch dupe exploits. But, there is a way to cut line and join the server automatically, without needing to wait for hours or even days to join the server. But such luxury is not gotten for free, and you don't need any exploits or hacks to be able to just log in on the server automatically and skip the queue. All you need, is something called priority queue. So, what is Priority queue, and where can you purchase it?
History of 2b2t's Queue
Before we get into how you get priority queue, or Prio for short, let me indulge you in the reason why 2b2t has a queue in the first place.
Beginnings of the queue
In June 1st, 2016, at the time, a popular Minecraft youtuber called TheCampaignRusher made his first ever video on 2b2t, called Oldest server in Minecraft!!. The video became instantly viral, having over 3.2 million views and 45 thousand likes today. This caused a massive influx of new players joining 2b2t attempting to join the server all at once after the video was dropped.
Due to the sheer number of newbies trying to join at once, Hausemaster, 2b2t's owner, and TheCampaignRusher to implement a queue system to prevent large spikes of players joining the server. This queue system was added in the middle of June 2016, and the way it works is that it requires the player to continuously reconnect every few seconds in order to go up by one in their queue position. (E.g. your in position number 3 now and you need to leave and reconnect after a few seconds to go up to number 2 in queue position). This encourage players to use Hacked clients that have the module Auto Reconnect, which allow players to automatically reconnects the user back to the server after a few seconds.
Around this time, players that joined before the 1st of June 2016 was given priority over those who joined after the specific date, allowing the older players to join the server in minutes, rather than waiting for hours on end. This queue, aka The Veteran Queue, was removed on December 4th, 2017 as Hausemaster wanted to increase the incentive that more players buy Prio. But this removal of the veteran queue sparked many controversies, and even lead to many older players quitting as some players don't find paying 20 dollars for one month of Prio worth it.
Controversy surrounding 2b2t's queue system
The queue is a very controversial subject on 2b2t for many different reasons. One major reason is Rusher milks the server of its money using the queue. Rusher has shown he can add or remove anyone from the veteran queue list, as he did with Torogadude. This was then reverted, and Rusher promised never to do this again. Rusher denies he put the priority queue system in simply for money. Many people had e-mailed Hausemaster beforehand, asking if they could buy queue priority.
The queue is many hours long at peak times, effectively making 2b2t a pay-to-play server for new players. This also generates a lot of hate towards 2b2t YouTubers like FitMC, who invite their subscribers to the server and thereby inflate the queue times for regular players. Some people even say that Fit has a deal with Rusher where he invites his fans to the server with the purpose of increasing the number of people buying priority queue. However, this is little more than speculation.

Priority Queue, Aka Prio/''Paid Queue''
The Priority queue was added around the same time as the basic queue, where you can spend 29 dollars per month to allow players to join 2b2t instantly, without needed to wait for hours to join on 2b2t during peak hours. This queue system was put in place as Hausemaster uses the money raised from queue purchases to maintain 2b2t, as day by day the server file increases due to player activity and new chunks being loaded.
